Rosita Bonita is the creation of London-based artist Rowenna Harrison, inspired by glamorous fantasies of past times and faraway lands, and encompassing icons of folklore, myth and legend. Original illustrations are screen-printed or foil-embossed onto fine leathers & carefully assembled into unique & collectable treasures.

“The snake is an age-old symbol in jewellery, variously signifying royalty (in ancient Egypt), wisdom, good fortune, good health & healing (ancient Greece), sexuality and temptation (Christianity) and fertility (Vodou), and was imbued with the sentiment of undying, eternal love from the Romans to the Victorians, particularly in circular form as the tail-devouring ‘Ouroboros’.”
